Sally Mayo
Dental Hygienist
A native of Staten Island, Sally Mayo attended Susan Wagner High School. After school, she worked part-time as a dental assistant – an experience and environment she grew to enjoy very much. Having decided to make dentistry her career, she attended the New York University College of Dentistry and graduated in 1994 from their dental hygienist program.
Certified in local anesthesia and the use of nitrous oxide, Sally strives to keep up with the latest advances in her field by taking Continuing Education courses.
Now married with two children, she lives on Long Island. Sally enjoys hiking, going to the gym, and cooking healthy food for her family.

Veronica Diaz
Dental Hygienist
Veronica Diaz was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She began her journey in the dental field as a dental assistant, where her interest in oral health quickly evolved into a passion. This led her to pursue further education and become a licensed dental hygienist.
Outside of work, Veronica enjoys spending time with her family and especially cherishes time with her son. She has a passion for performing, having sang in several choirs. She loves listening to music. In her free time, she also reconnects with her love for tap dancing and rollerblading, and she never turns down a good weekend trip to unwind and explore.

Stacy-Ann Dixon
Dental Assistant
Stacy-Ann Dixon grew up in Jamaica and then moved to the States where she attended a dental assistant program at Queens County Dental Society. Almost immediately after graduating, she began her career and has amassed considerable experience along the way. Now working as Dr. Stanescu’s assistant, she’s well-liked by our patients who find her to be both good-natured and professional.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and traveling – she’s been to over 15 countries – and spending time with family and friends.

Evrana Khatun
Dental Assistant
Outside of work Evrana enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to read mystery novels and take long bike rides near the local piers.
Natalia Bakowski
Dental Assistant
After graduating from high school, Natalia Bakowski continued her education at LaGuardia College, City University of New York. In 2013, she completed two additional courses and received certificates as an EKG technician and phlebotomy technician.
Once Natalia started working for Dr. Rastegar, she knew right then that her future would be related to helping people. “What I love most about my job,” she said, “is making people comfortable, helping them obtain a healthy mouth, and seeing them happy with their improved smile.”
Out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. It helps, she says with a smile, that “I actually like to clean, cook and bake!” Natalia loves the outdoors and is always seeking new fresh-air adventures.
Peggy Deegan
Office Manager
Peggy Deegan attended Adelphi University and graduated with a degree in finance and management. She worked in banking for 20 years, primarily in the mortgage industry.
Peggy started her career in dentistry ten years ago. She loves dealing with patients and is passionate about making sure they receive quality service.
Peggy lives with her two boys in Massapequa. She loves the beach, boating and spending time with friends and her kids.
Jessica Concepcion
Office Coordinator
Jessica Concepcion attended high school in the Bronx and went on to further her education at Pace University here in Manhattan and American International College and Ashford University in Massachusetts. Prior to joining us here at Midtown Dental Care Associates, she worked for a medical office at the Veterans Administration.
Jessica is the mother of four children. Her oldest son currently serves in the military as a US Marine. She enjoys cooking, baking, and reading.
Roya Ghassabian
Office Coordinator
Roya Ghassabian grew up in Kew Gardens, Queens, and worked several different jobs after graduating high school. One of those jobs had her working in the Diamond District in Manhattan. But it wasn’t until she started working for Dr. Rastegar that she felt she had truly found the right place – and she’s been working as our office coordinator for over 20 years now.
Roya enjoys the human interaction involved in working at the front desk. “I enjoy meeting people from different walks of life.” she says.
On the weekends, she enjoys swimming in her gym’s pool and going for long walks on the beach.
Mikyla Fidel
Dental Assistant
Mikyla Fidel was born in Binghamton, New York, and raised in Los Angeles, California. She recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fordham University, with minors in both Biology and Anthropology. Her interest in dentistry grew through a variety of hands-on experiences – shadowing physicians, assisting in medical and dental clinics, and volunteering on international medical missions in underserved communities.
She also served as a STEM tutor for elementary students, combining her love of science with a passion for mentorship. Together, these experiences strengthened her commitment to a future career in dentistry rooted in both care and community. She hopes to continue her education and eventually become a practicing dentist.
Outside of her academic and clinical pursuits, Mikyla enjoys cooking, thrift shopping, listening to music, and sipping matcha. She also loves spending time with friends and family, discovering new restaurants, and learning about different cultures.
